Satoshi x Olga – Nu Ca Pe Un Prieten

Satoshi and Olga Verbițchi collaborate for the first time and release “Not like a friend”, a piece that explores the subtleties of the relationship between two people who are going through a difficult situation: the friend zone.

“Not as a friend” was written by Satoshi and Olga Verbițchi. The production was made by Cătălin Temciuc and Alexandru Turcu. The video, directed by Roman Burlaca and with the image signed by Alexandru Mureșan, perfectly complements the atmosphere created by the piece.

In the first part of the song, the boy in love’s voice conveys the pain and confusion he feels as he tries to express his feelings towards the person who places him in the friend zone. The lyrics reflect his disappointment and sadness in the face of rejection, but also his desire to keep the connection with that person, even if not in the desired way.

On the other hand, Olga Verbițchi’s voice brings a new perspective on this complicated relationship. She expresses empathy and understanding for the boy who is in the friend zone, but at the same time recognizes the limits she has in terms of offering a romantic relationship. Her lyrics reveal the inner struggle of a person who wants to be honest with herself and others, but who understands that sometimes love cannot be forced or reciprocated.
