DokStation Festival 2025

Now in its ninth edition, DokStation – Music Documentary Film Festival, the only festival in the country dedicated to documentaries about music, will take place from May 28 to June 1, in several venues in Bucharest.

Full Pass (guarantees access to 12 DokStation events – 10 film screenings and 2 concerts of your choice) – 300 lei
Junior Pass (guarantees access to 8 screenings of your choice, excluding special events and concerts) – 190 lei
The first titles in this year’s selection are documentary films, most of them national premieres, with and about music legends: Sex Pistols, Placebo, Ace Of Base, Peaches, Gloria Gaynor, Liza Minnelli, Steppenwolf, Broken Social Scene, The Cimarons and many others. In addition to screenings, DokStation also offers the public concerts with international and local artists, which will be announced soon.

The DokStation Festival 2025 films either discover initiatives against the current, far from the big studios, or stories of trailblazers for big trends or of marginals who became legends, or encounters between cultures in a recovery and reinterpretation of music hidden in old vinyls.

Electronic music, punk, jazz, traditional music, rock, reggae and indie cross various movements and interventions in socio-political and cultural scenes that redefine freedom, visionaryism, creativity and dignity and intertwine with the magic and impact of musical pieces and bands that have made history or of controversial or reinvented biographies.
